Another great day of ministry...
It began with a late start. We all were really struggling to get up and get going. The previous three days were incredible, and incredibly tiring as well. I did the devotional this morning, and tried to encourage the team with Isaiah 40 and Galatians 6. Isaiah shows us the majesty of God's power and faithfulness to uphold His children when they look to him for strength, and Galatians is encouraging one to perservere in doing good works, especially to those in God's house. I couldn't decide which passages to focus on, but this morning I felt that I really needed to just encourage the team with those passages. God has greatly encouraged me through those verses... God's been providing strength these past few days, and it's been such an encouragement to see those verses show God's faithfulness to uphold us!
VBS went really well. I realized today we only have one more day left, and I got sad. It's been such a joy to serve at VBS! I got to learn a bunch of Russian words from my little friends today. I had a Russian/English dictionary, and the kids loved looking through it and trying to teach me words. I literally wanted to just crash so many times, and God really encouraged me by having my little friends teach me words, give them piggy backs and so on. One little boy asked me if I was friend, and I said yes, and he just made me follow him all day. Everyone was run down, and it was so amazing to see God giving everyone the strength to serve. You know that it's not of us, but of Him!
Tonight we added a longer intermediate class. It went well from what I heard. Lindsay, Kristin and Derek have really adapted well to reinstating their class after it was cancelled when we got here. Please pray for them, though. It's rough redoing the curriculum, and they want to establish relationships with the new students and not lose the relationships that they formed with their other students. Chris gave his testimony tonight. He shared about trusting God through trials. Well, it's late.
Thank you for your prayers! How we appreciate them! It's a huge encouragement to us when we think about all of you praying for the ministry and the students who are coming to hear the good news! We are a team for God's glory.

Hang in their everyone, God will use you in great ways! Hearing about everyone being tired reminds me of a couple of those toasty afternoons last year when we would crash for that brief period in the afternoon before going to english class...and then be revived by the sweet nectar that is ...juicy cool!
